John David Coles
John Coles is an award-winning director and producer. He was nominated for an Emmy and a PGA award for his work as an Executive Producer and director on the Netflix phenomenon HOUSE OF CARDS. His feature directorial debut, SIGNS OF LIFE, won the International Critics Prize at Deauville. Other long form credits include RISING SON with Matt Damon and Brian Dennehy, and DARROW with Kevin Spacey. His most recent feature length documentary ‘The Choice’ will premiere in the fall of 2025.
His recent directing credits include the Disney+ series THE RIGHT STUFF, the Emmy Award-winning HOMELAND, the Epix original series BERLIN STATION, 11/22/63 for Hulu, and USA’s hit drama THE SINNER. Other credits include SEX AND THE CITY, WEST WING, DAMAGES and JUSTIFIED.
Talking Wall Pictures focuses on the development of cutting-edge feature and television projects. Productions include SONGS IN ORDINARY TIME, based on the Oprah Book Club pick and starring Sissy Spacek and Beau Bridges, and the drama series CRA$H AND BURN. Talking Wall has developed numerous projects with HBO, CBS, New Line, IFC, Bravo and worked with distinguished writers including Academy Award nominated Mike Weller (HAIR), Pulitzer Prize winner Doug Wright (QUILLS), Kate Robin (SIX FEET UNDER), Ann Peacock (NIGHTS IN RODANTHE), and David O’Leary (PROJECT BLUE BOOK).
Meagan Burel
Meagan Burel is a seasoned producer with over a decade of experience in unscripted television and documentary film. She spent more than eight years at October Films, where she developed and sold original programming to major networks and streamers. Her notable commissions include Hiroshima: 75 Years Later (History Channel), First Ladies and Diana (CNN), Beanie Mania (Max), and Erased: WWII’s Heroes of Color (National Geographic).
She has also worked with Dial Tone Productions on a range of documentary projects. Most recently, Meagan joined Talking Wall Pictures, where she developed The Choice, a documentary inspired by Dr. Edith Eger’s bestselling memoir, alongside a slate of other projects.
